STREET & JOURNALISM PHOTOGRAPHY

I enjoy street photography because EVERY image is candid and unique, and exists in the universe for only a fraction of a second -- no two images are ever alike.  While it takes a lot of patience, preparation, and luck... if taken at just the right time you might just capture a novel.

French humanist photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson pioneered this form of candid photography and coined the term moment decisif  ("the decisive moment") – that moment when the physical and psychological elements of real life come together in a fraction of a second to create an authentic story.
